From the Art & Folklore series from various countries, which is part of this season's theme, The Arts, the entry is commonly known as "Samothrace Nike".
It is said to have been created around 190 B.C. to commemorate a victory in a naval battle, and is a reference to an ancient Greek sculpture known as the goddess of victory.
